Our standard rental fee is based on a 24-hour day. The venue will be open at 9 a.m., and you can use it until 9 a.m. the following morning. During the planning process, we will determine the best time to accommodate your vendor load-in, load-out, and event time. If requested, the venue may be opened earlier for setup, or if an additional day is required for setup or breakdown, there is an additional half-day cost.
Is the venue secure overnight for my décor, equipment, and other event-related items? The venue is locked overnight and has an alarm security response. Two security guards patrol the market overnight.
Are we allowed to bring in external alcohol/drinks for consumption? It is against our liquor license to allow external alcohol onto the property. However, the venue does have a bar.
Is there backup power during load shedding? The market runs off two generators with a 40-second turnover time during loadshedding.
Can we incorporate other market vendors in our event? You can book certain vendors at the market for your event.
Are there branding opportunities at the Prison Break Market for my event? Yes, you are welcome to place directional signage from the entrance down to the venue as long as it does not leave permanent damage or hinder the public from moving around the market's public spaces.

How do I apply to be a pop-up vendor? Please see our Pop-up vendor application form under 'our events'.
Is there a kitchen? We have a designated prep kitchen equipped with a service sink, stainless steel prep tables, and a separate/dedicated service entrance. The chef's patio provides additional workspace.
Am I responsible for the cleanup? San Quentin Events will have the event space cleaned and ready for your arrival. During the event, we will have a cleaning team on site to manage all restrooms, entryways and passageways for your guests. After your event, it is the client's and/or the caterer's responsibility to do the following: - All event items must be removed from the venue during the load-out. - All rental items (dishware, silverware, furniture, etc.) must be picked up during the load out. - The kitchen must be cleared of any food and beverage items.
Is the building wheelchair accessible? Yes, our main entrance allows for wheelchair access.
Where do guests park? Ample parking bays are available in and around the venue at Prison Break Market.
